Another tool in your job search bag is the letter of inquiry. So often we scan websites looking for jobs that we forget that there are other techniques in the job search. One of them is the letter of inquiry. I had my most success sending letter of inquiries through e-mail to a specific person within an organization. I think a lot of times when you send a letter of inquiry by snail mail it ends ups in the trash. I had a good rate of response to my letter of inquiries. Each letter I tailored to the company that I was inquiring about. This includes the companies address. I sent my letters of inquiry as attachments to my brief introductory e-mail. I didn’t include my resume as I thought that this was something that could be sent later if the company showed interest. Anyway, the next time you are waiting for new jobs to appear on websites try writing a few letters of inquiry.
