During the job search process there can be down time as you wait for new jobs to become posted or maybe you are waiting to hear back on an interview. Many times we feel like we we are stuck and not moving forward. One thing you can do during this time to make you feel like your actively doing something is learning something new or brushing up on your job skills. When I was in between jobs I was continually looking for ways to improve myself, which would lead to opportunities. YouTube is a great source for developing skills. I watched many YouTube videos on advanced Microsoft Excel skills. I also honed my data entry skills by utilizing free on-line typing tutorials. The next time you think there is nothing I can do in the job search always remember that you sharpen old skills or learn new ones.
